Pescara, 19 November 2022 — The Adriatic innovation forum organised by the Chamber of Commerce Chieti Pescara and its Development Agency kicks off Monday 21 November, from 10:00 a.m. to the Becci Pavilion at the Marina Tourist Port of Pescara. A fibrillating circuit of ideas and innovations that wants to offer a concrete contribution to the country to support it in the difficult digital ecological transition it is going through.
A transition made even more complex by the energy emergency that we are experiencing and that will be the protagonist of an inaugural round table entitled “A vision on the future of energy” where, in the presence of the leading representatives of the productive and academic world, we will discuss how to achieve independence from other countries and thermoelectric.
To serve as a corollary to this second edition of Visionaria, the VisionArt area, a space created by the Abruzzo Region — Department of Crafts, dedicated to meetings, interactive activities and experiences that concern the different application areas of innovation to traditional and digital craftsmanship: virtual reality, scanning and 3D printing, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, metaverse.
The work of Visionaria will open, in addition to President Strever and President of the Development Agency Letizia Scastiglia, the President of Unioncamere Andrea Prete and Governor Marsilio. It will start with a round table entitled “A vision on the future of energy” in which they will take the floor: Paolo Accastello — Director of establishment — Sevel SpA; Carmine Puglielli, Director of the Abruzzo Intesa Sanpaolo Business Area; Roberto Spice — Head of TECHNOLOGIE Directorate of RIT Terna Rete Italia S.p.A. Rome; Alessandro Corsini — Ordinary fluid machines, La Sapienza di Roma — Extraordinary Professor, Dept of Mechanical and Mechatronic Engrg, Stellenbosch University, SA — associate with research assignment at CNR-IIA; Mario Luigi Rainone — Associate professor of applied geology University Gabriele d’Annunzio Chieti Pescara; Sabrina Romano — Enea — Architect and technologist department of energy technologies and renewable sources smart energy division — Laboratorio Smart Cities and Communities; Katiuscia Hero — National Legambiente Energy Manager.
The President of the Chamber of Commerce Chieti Pescara Gennaro Strever: I thank the entire chamber system that will be represented by its highest exponent, the president Andrea Prete, for believing in this initiative, born only two years ago and that, today, aspires to become an important point of reference in the process of ecological and digital transition that we are going through. Visionaria was born in the middle of the pandemic: in the darkness of the lockdown, a vision was lit in the Chieti Chamber of Commerce Pescara. To gather the experiences and examples of men and women who have not bowed in the face of difficulties but who have ridden before all a sudden and inexorable change.
The President of the Development Agency Letizia Scastiglia: Two elements are particularly relevant in this second edition of Visionaria, the Adriatic Innovation Forum. Continuity in innovation and continuous innovation. Continuity in innovation. Last year we left ourselves recognising in Visionaria the moment of synthesis that this territory needed to structure our innovation ecosystem but also the starting point that was providing a method to work together on issues that could represent the development of our companies and therefore in our territory. Continuous innovation. For example, the approach to this event. Because during the last year we did not want to turn off the spotlight, those pointed within our organisation, and so we put in place a construction path from below, shared with the main local stakeholders.
There are two new features of this edition. In addition to the round table, on 23 November and which will see the presence, in Pescara, of the highest representatives of the chamber and institutional system of the macro region to discuss female entrepreneurship. The second will instead concern the Prize Visionaria 2022 which, by collecting the best practices of competitions in the territory aimed at innovative companies, will reward the company start-up or the idea of a more original company with two cash prizes of as many as seven thousand and three thousand euros.
But Visionaria is also orientation and, on the 24 morning, will take place a new edition of the Alternation Stories Award aimed at high school students and technical institutes to reward their creativity in alternating school work projects.
Great fibrillation also for the hackathon, promoted by MetameR, which this year sees the attention of young students, engineers and computer enthusiasts the creation of a real time monitoring solution of their consumption, able to simultaneously provide reports on malfunctions and waste of appliances also in order to improve their energy needs.
Main sponsor of this edition Intesa Sanpaolo. Here is the statement of Paolo Musso — Commercial Director of Companies Lazio and Abruzzo Intesa Sanpaolo: Abruzzo is a resilient region that has proven to be able to react to difficult situations, but at this time companies are facing unexpected costs and uncertainties, which in some cases put their production at risk, triggered by higher energy and raw materials. As the first Italian bank, we considered it necessary to support with extraordinary measures the liquidity needs in order to cope with the sudden squeeze in operating margins and, at the same time, continue to stimulate new investments, to which regional companies have shown great attention, which go precisely towards innovation, digitisation and sustainable development. The Group — Musso continued — has put in place 12 billion euros to allow Italian companies to face the higher energy costs and encourage investments in renewable energy to accelerate the now indispensable energy independence and diversification of sources, also thanks to the intervention of Sace. This year Intesa Sanpaolo has launched a EUR 35 billion intervention plan to support businesses, families, traders, craftsmen and hoteliers in tackling this difficult situation”.
