Liceo Maior di Pescara, IPSIAS Di Marzio-Michetti di Pescara and ITS ‘G. MARCONI’ di Penne win the Alternanza scuola lavoro award
Pescara, 20 November 2025 – More than three hundred students who followed work-related school courses and who, today, were present at the award ceremony organised by the Chieti Pescara Chamber of Commerce as part of Visionaria 2025.
The school-work alternation programme is implemented by the Italian Chamber of Commerce system to bring together entrepreneurs and students at a time when almost 60% of technical skills are lacking. This is actually one of the main reasons why kids don't find work or can't keep it stable.
But what has emerged today is a different cross-section: young people, many not yet of age, who engage with the hot topics of the future and who are at the center of Visionaria: ecological transition, sustainability, technology. But also resolution of issues related to inclusion, for the construction of a more just and equitable society, able to overcome the limits by embracing them and not bypassing them. And it was in a heartfelt and moving embrace that the audience welcomed Paralympic champion Ilenia Colanero, who was entrusted with the opening of the day to give a message of strength to children increasingly isolated digitally.
The schools, six in total, including three high schools, a professional institute and two technical institutes, presented through short clips their alternation project that had previously been evaluated by a special commission appointed by the Chieti Pescara Chamber of Commerce and led by Marco Bellisario, member of the Chamber of Commerce.
The topic of skills was then at the center of the working tables of the afternoon of 20 November in Visionaria This year, among other things, it obtained the patronage of AID – the Italian Association for the Management of Personnel of Abruzzo and Molise.
During Visionaria, which will be at the Marina di Pescara, until 21 November 2025, it is possible to visit Visionart, a space curated by Edhiamo, the accelerator in Central and Southern Italy, to create a widespread competence centre on digital technologies, with particular attention to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High Performance Computing (HPC). The aim is to support the digital and green transition of businesses, public bodies and territories, fostering an open and collaborative innovation ecosystem.
