A riot of talents, skills and young people addressed by this fifth edition of Visionaria This year’s great novelty is dedicated to the ‘Future Space’, where workshops and vertical panels on cybersecurity, industrial property and new marketing scenarios will take place during the days of the forum, until 21 November.

The day opened with great energy, transmitted by all the guests and speakers who spoke at the round table on the hot topic "Energy in transition, competitiveness in fall" during which the urgent issue of the energy transition was addressed at a time when decarbonization has become unavoidable and nuclear energy an essential resource.

‘If Italy wants to be carbon-free and at the same time guarantee energy sovereignty’ – says the President of the Chamber of Commerce Chieti Pescara at the opening – it must have the courage to include nuclear power in its mix’ and, with regard to the mandatory transition to electricity, by 2035, the President asks the audience a question. ‘It is really possible to switch to energy autonomy if the 86th% of rare earths comes from China as well as 93% Magnesium and 100% lithium for the production of batteries?’.

In this context, the contribution of Renato Loiero, economic adviser to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, has also been included, stressing how much it weighs on businesses and families, reflecting an increasingly stringent quadrilemma – security, sustainability, competitiveness and strategic autonomy – in an international context in which energy has become a fully-fledged geopolitical instrument, making it even more urgent to accelerate an ecological transition that cannot translate into a risk of de-industrialisation, in a Europe that risks losing ground compared to global competitors.

In addition to Councillor Loiero, the president of Unioncamere Andrea Prete and GSE Paolo Arrigoni also spoke at the round table. Andrea Prete: < < “We are faced with a complex picture, we must keep our feet on the ground and avoid continuing to say too many nos as we have done in the past. In the national energy mix, the new generation of nuclear energy must also be evaluated to make the country independent, thinking about the short, medium and long term: in this sense Visionaria This is an important moment of reflection. The camera system - added Prete - is at the side of companies in many areas, including the energy transition. Among the aspects to be taken into serious consideration is also that of training: in the future we will need at least 3 million workers with green skills.

Paolo Arrigoni, President of GSE:<< The energy transition as well as a challenge must first and foremost be an opportunity. The GSE, the operational arm of the Government, provides companies, public administrations and citizens with numerous support and incentive tools to reap the benefits: from energy efficiency, renewables par excellence, to the development of renewable sources such as photovoltaic, wind and hydropower, with a particular focus on self-consumption and sustainable mobility.”

Tomorrow, 20 November, Visionaria continues with the Alternanza Scuola Lavoro award, aimed at rewarding the best courses for the alternation of high schools and high schools, which will also include the Ilenia Colanero Paralympic Gold and a table in the afternoon, moderated by Pasquale Viscanti and Giacinto Fiori on innovation, which entrusts the closure to Andrea Biraghi, President of Dinova Gruppo Maggioli, former manager of Leonardo – Finmeccanica and CEO of Comdata Italy. Friday 21, great conclusion with SMAU, the largest European business incubator, which has chosen Visionaria for the third consecutive year of its international roadshow and the announcement of the winners of the hackathon, launched by Visionaria and Aptar Italia Spa – a leader in the provision of wellness and personal products – which will involve 40 young people throughout the forum.
